Rules and Information

  • All Fremont students are entitled to use the Media Center to check out books; they must have picture I.D. unless coming to the library with a class, in which case the teacher may vouch for the student.
  • The Media Center is to be used for research, study, checking-in/out, printing, and quiet conversation. Students who misuse their privilege or Media Center services, may lose their right to use the Media Center entirely.
  • The Media Center is open from 7:30-3:00 p.m. daily except when special activities have been pre-arranged.
  • No food or drink is allowed. Water is okay, but must be stored in backpacks or on the floor.
  • Books should be returned on or before the due date, otherwise students will be charged an overdue fine of 10¢ per school day for every day the book is late.
  • Books must to be checked out properly at the circulation desk. Books not checked out that leave the Media Center are considered stolen and those individuals responsible will be prosecuted accordingly.
  • Remember: when you check out a book, you are responsible for it. Any book that is damaged beyond reasonable wear will be assessed a damaged fee. All lost books shall also be charged to the borrower’s account with a reprocessing fee.
  • Please—take a moment before leaving the Media Center to check your books for damage. Bring anything of concern to the attention of the staff.
