My name is Fred Smith and I have been at Fremont High School for nearly 9 years. I have taught and am currently teaching video production, TV Broadcasting, Digital Media, and help run Pack TV.

I have also coached both boys and girls soccer. I am currently the head coach of the boys and am currently assisting with the girls program. This past year our boys soccer team went to the state championship game at Rio Tinto, while the girls program went to the semi-finals. Go Fremont!

I have a wonderful family. It includes my wife Michelle, and my three kids; Talon, Kemayla, and Boston. All of them are nearly 2 years apart with my oldest being 13 and my youngest being 9. Our family has also gained one other member of the family…Lucy. She is a German Short-Haired Pointer and she is just over one year old.

I graduated with a B.S. in electronic communications from the University of Utah. I then got my teaching license from Weber State with a minor in Physical Education from the same school. After a few years I earned my Masters from Lesley University (out of Oxford, Massachusetts) in Technology in Education.

Prior to this education, I worked for KJZZ TV and the Utah Jazz Productions for nearly 10 years working on games, shows, and in the broadcasting business.
