We are calling for a white out for our home opener!
Last, please make sure to pay special attention to the information below concerning student Chromebooks prior to the start of school:
-
Chromebook Won’t Turn On/Stopped Working/Won’t Charge:
-
Many students may have closed the lid of their Chromebook over the summer, which puts it to sleep but doesn’t turn it off. This means the battery can completely drain over time. When this happens, plugging in the Chromebook to charge may not work. Students should perform a hard reset and leave the Chromebook charging overnight. Instructions are provided below.
Signing the Appropriate Use Policy (AUP):
Password Resets:
Chromebook Hard Reset for Charging Depleted Batteries:
-
Unplug the charger from the wall outlet and Chromebook.
-
Separate the two pieces of the charger for 1 minute, then reconnect.
-
Plug the charger into the wall and the Chromebook.
-
Open the Chromebook and press and hold the refresh key.
-
While still pressing the refresh key, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
-
Release both keys.
-
Note that the charging light may not light up at this time.
-
Shut the lid and leave the Chromebook on the charger overnight without removing the power.
Thank you for your assistance in helping to prepare students for their 1st Day of School! We are eager to get things kicked off this year. As always, please reach out to us in the main office, should you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support of Fremont High School. Go Silverwolves!
