Dear Parents & Students,

Today students and staff participated in a scheduled secure and lockdown drill. We would like to thank the Weber County Sheriff’s Department for assisting us in facilitating this important safety practice. Our administrative team also participated in assisting with the drill to enact our Standard Response Protocol here at Fremont.

I want to commend our students and staff as they implemented and followed drill procedures for safety. We did find a few areas where we need to make improvements. We are grateful to know how we can make effective adjustments and appreciate the recommendations from law enforcement, we will train our staff on these changes so that they can provide important feedback to students.

One thing that we want to stress and thank students for their attendance and participation, as well as parents for their support with these drills. Simply put, a drill is not effective if students are not in school to practice and participate. We care about the safety of students at Fremont and it is important they know what to do in any type of emergency at school. We planned our drill with input from law enforcement and we appreciate them and the wealth of knowledge that they bring to help us practice safety protocols.

As always, thank you for your support and if you have any questions, please contact any member of our administrative team.  Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,
Fremont High School Administration
