Seussical the Musical!

We are hard at work already with Seussical! Show dates are January 17 & 18. Tickets will be available starting in October at fhs.wsd.net. We had auditions for the show this past week, and ended up with close to 90 students in the production. We will also be adding a live orchestra and stage crew with around 30-40 additional students. Each of these students will spend weeks learning all the music, choreography, blocking, and scene changes for the show. I will try to send you more pictures and updates as they come.

FFA

FFA's Utah Leadership Conference we attended last Friday. We took 26 students from Fremont FFA (both high school and Jr high kids) to the Utah Leadership Conference in Logan. They attended workshops and general sessions in goal setting, prioritizing and reaching their potential.  Patrick Grady from Georgia was their guest speaker and he brought a lot of energy and motivation to the conference.

Our Greenhouse Management Class Poinsettia sale was a huge success. We sold out our entire crop (grown by our FHS students) in less than a week. The students are now preparing for our succulent sale early next year with succulents they have been propagating in the greenhouse.

 Dickens Festival

Orchestra

We held auditions among all of the music students here at Fremont. Then we met at Peach Tree Assisted Living to perform our program for the residents there. We had about 25 residents that came in to listen.  And they were very happy to have us play music for them. Some of them were clapping to the music, and others were smiling and nodding their heads in time to the beat. The employees at Peach Tree were very appreciative. They told the students that our music is really good for the residents.  And it helps them more than

Congratulations to Mitch Stratford as Watson Chevrolet player of the week.

Foods

Foods I just finished their amazing Iron Chef Competition.  Students competed in their individual classes first and then the top winners from each class moved on to the finals.  During one class period the students had to make an entrée that contained bacon and a dessert that contained peppermint. Finally they had to plate them and present them for the judges.

1st place for the entrée went to a team that made a bacon egg muffin. The team consisted of the following students:

Jonathan Urquiza

Courtney Schmid

Marley Keith

1st place for the dessert went to a team that make a peppermint milk shake with chocolate cookies. The team consisted of the following students:

Bryton Tolman

Capri Blackburn

Jayci Craven

When we added together the scores for the entrée and dessert, the 1st place award went to the team that made an amazing smoked burger and a chocolate peppermint swirl. The team consisted of the following students:

Rhett Wade

Hunter Dearden

Dakota Clem

Makayla Lindhardt

Hope Squad and free hot chocolate!!!!
