Community Council Meeting May 8th, 2024

Attendees: Ashlee Harris, Alicia Mitchell, Colette Erickson, Christy Koford, Sheila Taylor, Adrienne Gray, Cole Price, Tami Meacham, Rob Riley, Haylee Hoch, Kristen Neeley, Tami McBride

1. Welcome – Ashlee Harris
2. Review Minutes – Colette Erickson

   motioned by Colette Erickson, 2nd by Adrienne Gray

3. Counselor Report - Tami Meachum
• Job Fair was a success!  Had over 30 companies present.
• Hope Night with Amber Lee Snyder guest speaker. Night was a success.  Our feeder elementaries and jr. high's were so helpful to come and support and run booths for the night. Twenty community resources including the coalition were there.
• Decision Day with all Seniors was a success - this is where seniors get to post on a big board what they are doing after graduation (college, trade school, missions, work, etc.)  Utah State supplies Aggies ice cream for everyone during the event
• Scholarship Assembly was a success because it was spit into groups
4.  Weber School District Updates (School Board & Admin) - Alicia Mitchell

   No new board members at the district level.  Fremont administration: Cari Fredrickson will be going to Bonneville as an Assistant Principal.  Tyler Dunyon will be coming to Fremont for an internship. 

5. Fremont/West Field Questions - Alicia Mitchell

   Discussed UHSAA rules for the entire state of Utah and how that has affected the students declaring for Fremont/West Field and eligibility for sports.

6. Election and Discussion for 24-25 council members - Alicia Mitchell

   Colette nominated Adrienne Gray as the Community Council Chair, 2nd by Ashlee.  All present voted in favor

   Ashlee nominated Kristen Neeley as the Community Council Vice-Chair, 2nd by Tami.  All present voted in favor

7. Other Items of Business: Ashlee Harris

   Ashlee thanked all the staff and councilors for all their hard work over the year.
