Fremont High School PTSA Meeting Minutes

Call to Order 8:05 AM
Approval of September 9, 2022 meeting minutes - Adrienne move, Anne 2nd, approved
Treasurer Report- Anne Kendrick
• Bank statement – Anne to check with credit union about fee.
• Check from school – $690 memberships, $12 fundraiser from tattoo sales.
• Paid Insurance renewal – waiting for certificate of insurance to be sent over. Amanda working
on this.
• Posted approved budget and minutes to Memberhub for compliance
• September Financial reports – Approved Sept bank statement
• Paid $839 for teacher appreciation chocolates (260). Cost of chocolates for teacher appreciation
increased this year.
• Need to pay scholarship dues and reflections dues. Will pay this month.
Membership Update—
• Paid membership for 119 members on Memberhub; 63% of last year’s total.
• Promote membership prior to December for Student Scholarships
o Have posted on Facebook
o Announce to seniors on PackTV
o Update website with PTA info.
Appreciation- Adrienne Gray PTC Treats
• Thank you for coordinating! It went well and there were plenty of treats. Teachers meal was
Chick-Fil-A.
• Thank you to everyone who provided desserts! We will do this again in the spring.
• Appreciation chocolates ordered to be distributed throughout the year.
Principal Report- Alicia Mitchell
• Christmas Tree wreath due by Jammie Ellison. Alicia has filled out the form, has a wreath. Jodi
Tippets will do the wreath this year.
• Sent out Reflections contest email to faculty, hoping for some submissions.
• Cindy put together teacher grant email and form. She has a rubric to evaluate. Alicia sent this
out to the teachers.
• Battle of the Bands – Mr. Bradshaw wants competition on Jan 25. Need to schedule time, ask for
volunteer judges.
• Hosting flu clinic Nov 17 @ 1PM in cafeteria.
• PTC Showcase was a success. Great turnout! Great snacks and giveaways. CTE was great to help
out.
o Consider PTA doing a table next year.
• Reminder early out 10/19/2022
• 5k/ Trunk or Treat Oct 22,2022. Race is at 6 PM, called Monster Crawl. Clubs setting up booths
and passing out candy at Kents, 6:45-8 PM.
• Student Gov’t and DECA will be doing food drive this month to help Ogden Food Bank. Will also
help stock food pantry at Fremont for the year.
Teacher Rep Report- Wendi Jorgensen
• No report this month.
Legislative Report- Shauna Dalton
• Attending Advocacy Conference November 9th (Shauna and Amanda attending)
Reflections Chair Report- Trudy Petersen
• No update this month.

• Deadline for submissions October 6th- status
Business Items
• Organizing 2022-23 Committee Chairs – Board members talk to friends, connections to ask if
they are willing to help.

o Awards & Recognition
o Student Representative – does it have to be student gov’t?
Other business
• Teacher grant application email has been sent out. It’s Google application, teachers must be
members to be eligible. Deadline is Oct 31. Cindy will be putting together all the information.
Will present to the board in November for vote on winners.
• Will send teachers another reminder Monday after fall break.
