Call to Order

Attendees: Amanda Taylor, Adrienne Gunn, Trudy Peterson, Miranda Hansen, Cindy Pendleton, Alicia Mitchell, Leslie Saunders, Becca Buck

Principal Report- Alicia Mitchell

• Today is girls basketball semi-finals at 3 PM
• Boys basketball semi-finals – boys won!
• Spring sports tryouts
  • 80 boys tryout for boys soccer!
• ACT and Aspire is March 7. This is for sophomores and juniors. Test starts at 8 AM.
• Seniors no school unless attendance credit makeup.
• No school March 10
• BYU Band festival March 11
• One Acts coming up March 14,16
• Art show March 16, 17, 20, 21, 22
• Social health assembly Thursday, March 16
• Spring break at end of March

Teacher Rep Report—Wendi Jorgensen

• Concerns about re-announcing scholarship in Feb, with PTSA enrollment due in December. Some students felt it was too late for an announcement.
• During last meeting, they discussed planning PTSA essays into curriculum to have more students apply. Would like to work with PTSA to encourage more scholarship applicants.

Legislative Report- Shauna Dalton

• -Utah PTA opposing HB 54 Tax Revisions-- This bill will take $475,400,000 away from the income tax fund in 2024

Reflections Chair Report- Trudy Petersen

-State winners announced – none from Fremont. Had 2 that went pretty far.

Teacher Conference Treats- Adrienne Gray

• Adrienne made pies for the teacher treats. Overall went really well.
• Cost was $50.00, need to reimburse

Teacher Appreciation- Michelle/Melissa

• No report at this time.

2023/24 Nominating Committee Report- Miranda, Trudy, Adrienne

• Becca Buck– Legislative VP
• Leslie Saunders– Secretary, Amanda Taylor– Treasurer, Anne Kendrick – open to being secretary?
• Official nominations submitted by Friday, March 17

Graduation Party and Fundraising- Amanda Taylor

• Have list of 2023 sponsors for grad party.
• Reached out to several larger donors, filled out online application
  • Minky - blanket gift basket donation
  • Kents – will possibly do gift cards
• Adrienne reaching out to all stakes and seminary
• Donation/ fundraising letter – sent out for review, mail out letters by Monday, March 6.
• Email to parents by Monday, March 13.
• Post letter online/ Facebook etc.
• Junior class party committee
  • Adrienne will put together committee of students to do set up, etc
• Vendors
  • Cindy will connect with all the vendors

Other Business Items

• Utah PTA report submitted February 15th
• Fremont Council Scholarship received 7 applicants, decision deadline March 23rd

Calendar/Upcoming Events

• Multi-Region Battle of the Bands on Saturday, March 4th – find out location to invite students
• Battle of the Bands– State Comp April 29th
